Why is awakening so brutal?

Because sooner or later, it asks you to let go of everything you thought you were.

Not just the pain, the wounds, or the limitations. Those are often the easy parts. The real challenge comes when you are invited to release the roles you cherish most deeply. Mother. Father. Partner. Healer. Seeker. The stories that have given meaning to your life and shaped your experience on Earth.

There comes a point on the journey where awakening feels less like growth and more like a death. A death of identity. A death of certainty. A death of everything you once used to define yourself.

And yet, what if that is not the end?

What if letting go is simply making room for something deeper? Something that was always there beneath the stories, beneath the roles, beneath the endless definitions of who you are supposed to be.

In this video, I share my perspective on why so many people struggle at this stage of awakening, why emptiness and loneliness often arise, and why patience may be one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself along the way.

The journey beyond identity is not always easy. Sometimes it feels like there is nothing left. But perhaps that is precisely where presence begins.

With joy and love,
